Finance Committee
The finance committee is responsible for formulating the annual budget of the Association and monitoring the financial activities of the Association. The committee:
- Continues to develop, oversee and maintain proper fiscal controls and financial management strategies;
- Monitors expenditures, analyzes revenue streams, and advises the Council regarding short-term and long-term investments;
- Conducts quarterly reviews of cash balances, expenses and reconciled transactions for the Association;
- Recommends budget adjustments, as appropriate, to stay within budget guidelines;
- Works with the treasurer to ensure all financial reports include tax forms are filed be established deadlines;
- Provides a quarterly report of activities to the secretary and president prior to Council meetings and an annual report prior to the annual meeting;
- Completes other duties as identified.
